The Skullman Design by Gus
Back to Halloween Central
This is The Skullman as it was originally designed This is the redesigned version with hair
for the Halloween season of 1997 instead of spikes and including a staff.
This is the view from the back. Marvel at
the detail.............
This costume was expensive and time consuming. Mainly because it was all trial and error. The cape is a floor length heavy material cape with a heavy plastic ornament on the back. The ornament came from a Halloween Decoration Flag and was riveted on the cape material with plastic rivets.
The shoulder pads came from a Halloween shop in Key West and another set was used to build the matching boots and waist band. The arms were purchased in Key West and painted in Columbus GA at Link Art Works.
The mask is a stocking that has been painted to match the ''skull'' look of the rest of the costume. Attached to the stocking is a theatrical grade foam appliance that gives it a 3-D effect. The hair is a shoulder length black curly wig from a local wig shop. This costume took 8 weeks to design and build. (But it was fun) I have won close to a Thousand Dollars with this costume in the last three years.
